Sky Camera is a low light colour integrating video camera. It is set to provide a wide field of view, with Polaris at top centre, South to the bottom, West to the right and East to the left. Cloud formations, meteors and the brightest stars can all be seen. On clear nights the Milky Way is easily visible.
Deep Sky Camera again is an integrating video camera but with greater sensitivity. In addition Deep Sky swaps to black and white for night time viewing with infra red sensitivity. It is centred approximately on +40 Declination, aligned with Polaris. During the year, Deep Sky will scan a band of sky approximately 10 degrees wide, along +40 Dec. Major stars near this band, include Capella, Algol, Deneb, Vega. Constellations covered include Auriga, Perseus, Andromeda [M31], Cygnus and Ursa Major. The best images are obtained with no clouds or moon visible. Deep Sky's field of view is approximately at the bottom centre of Sky Cam's view.
