Loch Turret Weather Station

Welcome to the Loch Turret Weather Station.  This weather station is situated at Eden Cottage Studio, The Hosh, Glen Turret, Crieff, Perthshire.

The Hosh, [Gaelic. cois - 'the foot', at the foot of Glen Turret] lies at the southern end of Glen Turret, which leads up to the Loch Turret Reservoir and hydro electric power station. Beyond Loch Turret lies Ben Chonzie [G. beinn - mountain & Choinneach - Kenneth, 'King Kenneth's Mountain']. Glen Turret is the home of one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, Glen Turret, and is also home of The Famous Grouse.

The weather station consists of the latest digital automatic weather station, offering high precision and accuracy, with readings taken every few minutes and data uploaded to this website on average every 60 minutes.  Whilst every effort is made to make the readings accurate, they should not be used for anything other than casual use.  Forecasts are based on weather station predications, and again should not be used as a reliable indication of weather conditions.
